The Process of Making Each of the Characters in the Book " the Paper Chase."
Join us on our journey as we create all the characters.
Step 1:
This process begins with original concept pencil sketches for each character.
Step 2:
They are digitally rendered into line drawings.
Step 3:
The digitally rendered characters are then coloured in various shades of red to highlight the lines and depth of the folds.
Step 4:
The characters have been rendered as Origami folds mixed with the actual characters in real life
Step 5:
The characters are drawn and shaded in different colours to portray the character's real-life likeness using watercolour.
Step 6 :
Each character is then fully rendered, with Origami fold lines added to animate them into lifelike animals through origami lines. This process is essential to understanding how they appear in our reality in London in 2025.

This is the first artistic impression of Kas. All the other characters will appear as and when they are fine-tuned and completed.
